Blojo Reloaded

Para hablar de esta canción debo confesar primero otra pequeña cosa: SOY FAN ABSOLUTO DE DAWSON’S CREEK (Dawson Crece). Pero de esto ya hablaremos más adelante. Una vez dicho esto, ya puedo explicar cómo llegué a esta canción y a este musical, sin duda uno de los mejores de la historia.

Pues resulta que en la primera temporada de Dawson’s Creek, en uno de los capítulos que más me hacen llorar, (concretamente el número 11 titulado “Beauty Contest”, mi querida Josephine Potter se presenta a un concurso y canta una canción. Y estaba yo un sábado por la mañana, allá por el año 2000, tirado en el sofá cuando escucho a Katie Holmes (con su voz dulce aunque un poco de pito) cantando una canción que me hizo jartarme a llorar. Y me pongo a investigar y resulta que se trata de “On my own” del musical de Los Misérables.

Ahí empezó una obsesión que me llevó a leerme el libro, a ver dos películas y a escuchar repetidamente el musical entero tanto en inglés como en castellano, y que culminó en Enero de 2008 cuando mi maravillosa Ma me llevó de sorpresa  a Londres para ver el musical en directo. Uno de los momentos inolvidables de mi vida.

Compuesto en 1980 por Claude-Michel Schönbergpor, “Les Misérables” es uno de los musicales más famosos del mundo. Está a punto de celebrar sus 30 años ininterrumpidos de representaciones en el West End y Broadway.
